Beer of the Week - Swamp Head Brewery's Big Nose IPA

For those of you who are lucky enough to live in Florida like both of my brothers, I've stumbled across a beer you've gotta get your hands on. Now, this beer is most definitely not for you if hate IPAs and strong hops. However, if you enjoy hops, this IPA packs a punch.

The Big Nose IPA has big taste, largely due to the double dry hop additions used. Another cool aspect about this beer is that it uses spring water that originates in the Okefenokee Swamp, hence the name Swamp Head. If you've read any of my previous Beer of the Week posts, its pretty clear by now that I drink pale ales 95% of the time. However, when a brewery puts out an IPA of this quality, much like Free State Brewing Company's Yakimaniac, it makes me want to try every beer they brew from tripels to stouts.

I look forward to my next trip down to the Sunshine State because I will definitely be making a pit-stop in Gainesville to pick up some more Swamp Head beer.
